In his own words...

"William Ryan Fritch is a film composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer currently based in Oakland , California. His compositions are characterized by his unique range as a multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer, which allows him to realize large ensemble arrangements found in folk, Indie-rock, electronica, Hip-hop, World and orchestral music as a solo endeavor. As a Composer, he has scored or contributed music to narrative and documentary films that have been featured in film festivals such as Cannes, SXSW, Tribeca, Sundance, Los Angeles, The Red Rock, The United Nations, Global Visions and the Environmental Film festival. Besides his film scoring work, Fritch works as an arranger and instrumentalist that has contributed to dozens of recordings, as a producer and mix engineer (PowerDove, Katie Stuckey) and is a member of The Sole and SkyRider Band. While completing his Graduate studies in composition and performance at Mills College he studied composition and improvisation with Fred Frith and Roscoe Mitchell (Art Ensemble of Chicago), audio production and composition with Maggi Payne, and Cello performance with Joan Jeanrenaud (formerly of Kronos quartet)."
