Forrest Fang

Foreest Fang is a multi-instrumentalist and ambient musician with an eclectic background in classical minimalism, progressive rock, electronic music, and non-Western musics such as Chinese classical music, Javanese gamelan, Filipino Kulintang and Japanese court music (gagaku).

In addition to releasing 11 albums, he has also composed music for shadow puppets (In Xanadu) and for a George Coates multimedia theater production (Blind Messengers). He has also has made guest appearances on releases by Robert Rich (Propagation, Bestiary, Temple of the Invisible, Ylang) and Carl Weingarten (The Acoustic Shadow, Blue Faith), and created an ambient deconstruction mix for Barry Cleveland (Hologramatron).

His music has appeared on radio shows Echoes,Music From the Hearts of Space and Star's End, and even made a brief appearance in an early episode of MTV's The Real World.
